Happy Sunday! Sitting in bed, watching crime shows and applying for jobs. But first, lemme make a blog post ;)
My family and Kent came into town this weekend for my graduation from UCF. I graduated with a degree in Interdisciplinary Studies, which means instead of one major, I had three minors. I studied mass communication, creative writing, and public affairs. IDS is apart of the College of Undergraduate Studies, which meant I didn’t have to wait in a long line to pick up my cap and gown AND my graduation ceremony was miraculously short!
But first – lunch @ Lazy Moon.
Nobody takes my picture requests seriously..
Kent graduated from UCF a year and a day before I did. Since the weather on his graduation was borderline hurricane status and the forecast predicted the same for Saturday, we prepared for the worst. We can blame the drizzle for all the photos we took inside the parking garage.
My thugs :)
Since the weather was awful the day Kent graduated, we never got any photos together. So I made him put on my cap and gown so we could fake some photos.
When we filed in to the arena, they had us sit in the old arena for an hour and then we walked into the arena. When I walked in, I could see Mom was leaning over the rail taking photos and I was so preoccupied finding the rest of my family in the stands that the line ahead of me was already sitting by the time the girl behind me said, “are you going to move?” Oops.
The weather held off though and after a veeeery quick 1.5 hour ceremony, we walked outside to chilly weather. Mom was crying, my feet hurt, there were crowds of people EVERYWHERE.
I was practically dying of starvation, so we left for sushi pretty soon after leaving graduation.
Hibachi and so. much. sushi. Kent was kind enough to photo us walrus-ing at dinner :)
Dad got a little crazy & may have hit mom in the face with his chopstick..
Kent had to leave last night for work this morning, so the girls stayed at my apartment last night. Honestly, I couldn’t have asked for a better weekend, a better family, a more loving boyfriend. When Kent got in Friday night, we celebrated his graduation anniversary by eating at the same restaurant we did a year earlier. Now, to find a job ;)
