Four reasons I haven’t been blogging:
1. I’m lazy (honesty is the best policy – no?)
2. I’m OBSESSED with cross stitching at the moment. I’m working on this project right now:
3. I’m busy making really delicious chicken marinades. Recipe here.
4. I’ve been binge watching Bones and Grey’s Anatomy. And Parenthood.
But, a blog post is in order because I have had the best weekends this month. A brief photobomb to immortalize these happyhappy moments:
KB and I started the new year in Tampa, visiting the Kinbergers after his Dad & Nanny spent a few days in Tallahassee with us. We aaaate so much good food and ventured around Dunedin and even got to see Cory for an hour or two before we came back to Tally. The only semi-decent photo we took in Tampa, complete with another couple’s photo between us, hehe.
Our first weekend back in town, KB took me to Apalachicola, which is about an hour and change from Tallahassee. The drive itself is GORGEOUS and curves along the Gulf of Mexico, although I initially thought it was a huge lake… Kent is never going to let me live that down. We ate at the Owl Cafe, bought homemade soaps and walked through botanical gardens.
The last two weekends were spent at good ole’ Proof in celebration of my old co-worker’s birthday and again when Heather came to visit! Other highlights have been listening to Former Ambassador Michael Thurston speak about Myanmar and it’s government at the South Asian Cultural & Media Conference, making some bomb ass sangria and hanging out with girls I’ve been friends with since I was seven. Tallahassee is colder than the Grinch’s heart and I’m officially the queen of wearing ten layers when it’s colder than 55 degrees. It’ll be six months in Tally the end of this month & I’m excited to see what the next six bring!
